The 1994 24 Hours of Le Mans marked a truly special moment in Mazda's storied motorsport history — the return of the rotary engine to La Sarthe, three years after the legendary 787B's overall victory. Team Artnature's FC3S-based RX-7 GTO, equipped with a thunderous 13J quad-rotor engine, was an IMSA GTO champion repurposed for endurance glory. Driven by the iconic Japanese Mazda campaigner Yojiro Terada alongside Franck Fréon and Pierre de Thoisy, car #74 ran the full distance and crossed the finish line 15th overall and 2nd in the IMSA GTS class — a remarkable achievement for a three-year-old privateer racer against purpose-built Le Mans prototypes.
This 1/43 scale resin model by TSM Model (ref. TSM430190) faithfully recreates car #74 in its striking two-tone Artnature livery, with sponsor graphics and period-accurate details reproduced with the precision TSM Model is known for among serious collectors worldwide. The distinctive nose treatment — modified from the standard IMSA configuration for Le Mans night driving — is captured cleanly in miniature form.
An outstanding piece for fans of Japanese endurance racing, Mazda heritage, and the golden era of Le Mans GT class competition. Only one unit available — a rare opportunity to own this unique chapter of rotary racing history in 1/43 scale.
