BBR BBRC244C | 1:43 Ferrari SF90 Spider | Rosso Corsa 322 | Limited 250 pcs | Ferrari's Most Iconic Colour on Its Most Powerful Open-Top Road Car
Rosso Corsa — Racing Red. The name predates the car by a century, born on the early Italian racing machines that were assigned the colour by international convention. Since then it has become the single most recognisable hue in all of motorsport and road car history, the colour so permanently linked to Ferrari that no explanation is required anywhere in the world. On the SF90 Spider, Rosso Corsa 322 is not a nostalgic reference — it is the natural home of the most technologically advanced open-top car Ferrari has ever built, a statement that the most powerful Ferrari road car in history wears its tradition with complete confidence.
The SF90 Spider is a landmark in Ferrari's development of hybrid technology. Unveiled in November 2020 as the convertible companion to the SF90 Stradale, it deploys a complete plug-in hybrid architecture built around a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged 90° V8 producing 780 PS at 7,500 rpm, joined by three electric motors — two on the front axle providing torque vectoring and genuine electric all-wheel drive, one between the engine and gearbox at the rear — for a combined system output of 1,000 cv (986 hp). The result is 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and a top speed of 340 km/h, all with a 7.9 kWh battery providing up to 26 kilometres of pure-electric silent running. Four drive modes — eDrive, Hybrid, Performance and Qualify — are selected via the eManettino on the steering wheel, reflecting the car's direct lineage from Ferrari's Formula 1 energy recovery programme. On its own Fiorano test circuit, the SF90 Spider delivered a lap time that bettered the LaFerrari at the time of its launch, making it the fastest road-legal Ferrari at that point in history.
The convertible element is as sophisticated as the powertrain. The aluminium Retractable Hard Top opens or closes in just 14 seconds, operable at low speed while on the move, and the Ferrari Styling Centre integrated the mechanism so completely with the car's structure that the twin-turbocharged V8 remains clearly visible through the engine bay cover whether the roof is up or down. A central trim section between the seats channels airflow away from occupants, and a powered rear window provides additional wind protection even with the top retracted.
BBR Models of Saronno renders this landmark car in their Concept43 format — designed entirely in Italian laboratories, with aerodynamic parts produced in special steel to achieve a level of precision and thinness at 1:43 scale that is impossible in resin alone. Rosso Corsa 322 is applied to the standard BBR has maintained for over 25 years. Limited to 250 pieces worldwide, this is a more accessible edition than the 140-piece Blu Elettrico variant while remaining a genuinely restricted production. Presented in BBR's signature one-piece plexiglass showcase, brand new and factory sealed.
This piece ships direct from Japan, carefully double-boxed for safe international delivery.
