By 1996, the F40 LM's racing days were nearly over. The faster F40 GTE had replaced most of the breed in GT competition, and only a single LM remained on track — the very last one, receiving Michelotto's final aerodynamic update: a new rear wing, revised front splitter, and reworked rear diffuser, while keeping its original LM bodywork and 3.0-litre twin-turbo V8.

This Press Version captures that final-specification LM exactly as it was presented to motoring journalists in 1996 — Middle Gray paintwork with contrasting black wheels, a media demonstration livery rather than a competition entry, marking the quiet end of an era for Ferrari's first purpose-built F40 racer.
