When Ford design chief Gene Bordinat wanted a dream car of his own, his studio created this: a stunning one-off roadster built on CSX3001—the very first coil-spring 427 Cobra chassis—clothed in a sleek Royalex body and powered by a 289 High-Performance V8. Part of the creative explosion at Ford Styling that surrounded the Mustang's birth, the Bordinat Cobra survives today unrestored and original, a unique bridge between Shelby's brutal Cobra and Dearborn's design ambitions.
Matrix Scale Models reproduces this fascinating one-off in finely detailed 1/43 resin, finished in metallic silver and presented in its original display case. A limited production model. A compelling piece for Shelby Cobra, Ford concept, and 1960s design collectors. Only one unit available.
