The Ferrari FXX was unveiled in 2005 as the most extreme track-only machine that Ferrari had produced to that point — and one of the most exclusive, with fewer than 30 examples built and available only to clients personally selected by Ferrari itself. The program occupied an entirely different philosophical space from any previous Ferrari track car: rather than selling the cars outright, Ferrari retained ownership and deployed them at dedicated track events throughout the year, with clients paying for the privilege of driving their own allocated car at circuits Ferrari chose — a relationship that placed the FXX closer to a racing prototype on loan than a conventional track day vehicle. Mechanically it was derived from the Enzo but developed to a fundamentally different standard, with a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 producing 800 horsepower at 8,500 rpm — 150 hp more than the Enzo — combined with a sequential gearbox capable of 100-millisecond shifts, carbon-ceramic brakes of racing specification, active aerodynamics generating over 700 kg of downforce at maximum speed, and suspension tuning developed directly from Ferrari's Formula 1 program. The FXX was also explicitly positioned as a rolling laboratory — Ferrari's engineers used the car and its client-drivers to gather real-world data that fed directly into the development of subsequent road and racing programs, a feedback loop between customer operation and factory engineering that had no direct parallel in the industry at the time. Yellow and White is among the most visually distinctive color specifications in the FXX's limited production run, the two-tone combination creating a bold, graphic quality that plays against the car's angular, aero-intensive body with particular drama.
This Looksmart LS159C is a 1/43 scale fully pre-built resin model, reproducing the Ferrari FXX in Yellow and White — one of the most visually striking color specifications in the entire FXX production run, and a model that captures the full aerodynamic character of one of Ferrari's most exclusive and technically significant track machines. Looksmart's 1/43 resin work brings the FXX's complex aerodynamic body — its large fixed rear wing, aggressive front splitter with canards, the wide-body proportions, prominent NACA ducts, and the deeply sculpted lower body surfaces — to scale with the surface fidelity and color accuracy that the subject demands. As with all Looksmart resin models there are no opening mechanisms, and the model is presented as a static display piece that captures the FXX's full profile without interruption.
A rare and desirable 1/43 model of Ferrari's most exclusive early-2000s track program — fewer than 30 real cars produced, available only to invited Ferrari clients, and reproduced here in the boldest and most distinctive two-tone color specification of the series.
