This CMR CMR12035 is a 1/12 scale fully pre-built resin model, reproducing the Ford GT40 Mk.II as driven by Ken Miles and Denny Hulme as the #1 entry at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans — in the Gulf/Ford livery as worn by the #1 car throughout one of the most celebrated and controversial Le Mans finishes in the race's history, and at 1/12 scale commanding the physical display presence that this historically significant subject demands. CMR's resin construction at this largest scale captures the GT40 Mk.II's defining visual characteristics — the low, wide mid-engine GT racing body with its characteristic fastback roofline, the large side exhaust outlets, the front and rear ventilation openings, and the Ford racing livery graphics — at a level of detail and surface fidelity that rewards the close inspection that 1/12 scale enables. As a resin model there are no opening mechanisms. Manufactured in 2023.
The most historically and emotionally freighted GT40 Le Mans model — the #1 car of Ken Miles and Denny Hulme from the race that changed the history of Le Mans, reproduced in 1/12 by CMR in the livery that would have belonged to one of the sport's most deserving but ultimately denied victories.
